A Night of Connection, and Karaoke at The Tipsy Goat

There is something truly special about seeing a room full of singles come together with open hearts and open minds. Our Kindred Social Mixer and Karaoke Night at The Tipsy Goat on Friday, February 13 was exactly that kind of evening, warm, welcoming, and filled with connection.

From the moment everyone arrived, the courtyard buzzed with conversation and laughter. It was wonderful to see familiar faces reconnecting and new faces being welcomed in. Each event reminds me why Kindred exists. Friendships are not only forming, but they are also strengthening. Conversations are going deeper. People are stepping outside their comfort zones.

It is especially heartwarming when members tell me how grateful they are to have a place where singles can gather and meet other like-minded people, they might never have crossed paths with otherwise. In today’s world, it is not always easy to know where to meet quality, genuine singles. Kindred is becoming that space, and that makes me incredibly proud.

As the evening progressed, we warmed up our vocal cords and turned up the fun with karaoke. The song list took us on a journey from The Rolling Stones to James Taylor, and of course, my personal favorite, “Dancing Queen.” Yes, I may have personally hogged the microphone and possibly tortured a few souls with some off-key renditions, thank you all for enduring it with such grace and humor.

We also handed out gift cards to those brave enough to sing more than one song. And I have to say, there were some truly impressive performances. Stan, you know who you are. We were all thoroughly entertained and maybe even a little blown away.

On a personal note, I am deeply grateful for every single person who shows up. It takes courage to walk into a room alone and introduce yourself to strangers. I applaud your bravery. Joining other singles is the first step toward making meaningful connections, whether that becomes friendship, companionship, or something more.

Thank you for making Friday night so memorable. I am already looking forward to seeing everyone again on February 28 at Crawford’s Social, and you are in luck, because you will not have to hear me sing there (lol)

Here is to connection, courage, and community. 💛
