On Friday, November 21st, Kindred Social officially brought together our very first group of members for an evening that set the tone for everything this community is becoming. Despite the rain and chilly weather, our members showed up with enthusiasm, warmth, and a true desire to connect and the result was an incredible first event filled with conversation, laughter, and the beginning of new friendships.
Crawford’s Social provided the perfect backdrop for our meetup, with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that helped everyone feel comfortable right away. Members arrived ready to mingle, share stories, and get to know one another. For many, this was their first in-person event with a group like this, and the courage it took to show up did not go unnoticed — it’s something we deeply appreciate.
Once everyone settled in, the energy in the room became something special. Conversations flowed easily, introductions turned into meaningful exchanges, and members discovered shared interests, upcoming plans, and ideas for future activities. Even in our very first hour together, it was clear: this community is going to thrive.
One of the highlights of the evening was gathering input from members on what they’d love to see next. From wine tastings, game nights, and dinner socials to outdoor activities, workshops, and small-group outings, the excitement for what’s ahead is undeniable. Every suggestion is helping us shape Kindred Social into the kind of community everyone wants — welcoming, fun, relaxed, and built around real, organic connections.
This first event was more than just a meetup. It was the beginning of a community where singles 50+ can feel seen, supported, and genuinely connected. No pressure, no awkwardness, no algorithms… just people coming together in real life to enjoy each other’s company.
Thank you to every member who braved the weather and made this night extraordinary. Your presence and energy created something truly special. We cannot wait for our next gathering and for all the friendships, conversations, and experiences that will unfold from here.
Here’s to the start of something meaningful. Here’s to Kindred Social.
